I'm pretty sure this OVA was bundled with one of the special edition volumes of the manga, not on it's own, so it'd be hard to judge the popularity of the OVA itself...

On another note I generally have very low expectations for one off OVA's of long series because it's hard to stuff so much content into such a short period of time that usually, so much is lost that it loses it's focus and charm. This OVA went past that though... Very little was explained, characters came and disappeared randomly, and the focus was on sex scenes. I don't mind a lot of sexual content in an anime/manga, but this OVA felt like generic shitty plot hentai. It completely lost the charm of the manga... Instead of actually being an enjoyable series to watch this seemed more like animation of some peoples favourite sex scenes. If I had to rate it I'd probably give it somewhere around a 4 or 5/10.

I also kinda doubt this'll get a full anime, there are so many fairly graphic sex scenes in the manga that are integral to the plot. I could see it as hentai, but I think it goes too far to be aired on TV.

Also this OVA was pretty low budget, it was really light on animation and it was done by Studio Fantasia which is tiny. Going from that to a full series is a big jump.

Like I said, it is highly unlikely, but there are some chances. And you know, and OVA series ain't that bad considering the fact that Tenchi Muyo or the newer one, Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari got wrapped up in mostly OVAs and not to mention Gundam Unicorn. However, you are right about one thing, this OVA was pretty light on animation and the studio ain't that financial powerful nor influential, so the chances to see Nozoki Ana being produced by Studio Fantasia is pretty slim, unless they want to be a little bit reckless and bet their entire resources on the succes of this show, which is pretty risky. Also, the fact that it focused on the sex scenes tells that they ain't really serious in adapting this, unless this OVA is just a pilot for what is about to come, which again, is highly unlikely.

Yeah, the manga is fucking popular, I can see that, and if the feedback after the release of this OVA is positive, I don't see why would it be impossible. If not for a TV series, then for an OVA series, all the better.

True that my question may be nonsensical. But i asked this question with the doubt in mind that it ends on 100 as that site didnt have any further chapters. I surfed around sites and it stopped at 104. I'm just gonna assume that they're translating 105. Thanks for your time anyway

Meeeeh.... I wanna say kindaaaa, but not really. First of all Hiiro is a diehard Shoujo story, while the LN of RDG is rather heavily Seinen/Josei oriented, while the manga adaptation is very much Shounen oriented. I mean the premise of the magic bitch and her gaurdian is there, but it's definitely not the bishi, reverse harem, bunch of dudes swooning and drooling on the "cute, but average girl", due to special circumstances, that is the typical formula of shoujo series like Hiiro.

I'm not even sure what you mean by "something like". I could say, sure, they're a like, since they are both fantasy and supernatural based, with some kind of romance or crushy thing going on, but story and character presentations are going to be vastly different I think.

i just did a search with the phrase "slayers series order" and got no results. are all the slayers series in the right order on the slayers page? 100 some episodes and it starts with slayers revolution, then slayers evolution r, then slayers , then slayers next, then slayers try.

is this the correct order to watch them in? i have not watched any episodes in a long time and had no clue there were this many slayers series.

They weren't subbed or didn't become available for stream in order, so they're listed in order. If I'm not mistaken, the proper chronological order is; Slayers, Slayers Next, Slayers Try, Slayers Revolution, Slayers Evolution-R.

What are the chances that Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari gets another season? The ending seemed like it would have another season. Also after 5 years the anime is getting English dubbed so maybe that will help it.
