Not sure is anyone asked this yet but do you guys know when the next season of High School of the Dead will be out and will there be another Tower of Druaga series coming out anytime soon?
The Highschool of the Dead manga has been on hiatus forever and the anime is basically caught up so I doubt the anime will be anytime soon. Season 2 was confirmed waaay back (something like 2 years ago so it could still never happen, but I believe it will) but until theres some more content it's probably not going to come out so I wouldn't expect it in 2013. Luckily though it was just announced that the manga hiatus is ending on April 9th.
Tower of Druaga seemed to wrap up to me in the last season and I haven't heard anything more about it. Doubt we'll see another anime.

hey guys a question! Nozoki Ana ( the ova on the site released a few days or two back ) i thought it was interesting so i looked around and found the manga from which the anime was adapted from. so like, what's the current chapter for the manga? the translated version.
P.S. this question may not have been posted in the right area. soz bout that
I agree, but this post did some good. I can't believe I missed that Nozoki Ana got an OVA, I've been reading this series forever. Also this is a seriously weird series to get animated, it's the last series I'd expect, it's kinda random. I think the problem is that the thumbnails for OVA's is that film reel, if I'd actually seen series art I wouldn't recognized it right away. I know thumbnails are done by series, and Movies + OVA's are all in one area, so there probably isn't the functionality in place to individually make thumbnails for them, but it might be something to think about. It'd be more work and probably take a site revision by ace so maybe it wouldn't be worth it. Just a thought.

Actually Ace mentioned to me a while back last year, that he wants to add individual Movie/OVA description pages, but so much other shit has come up and is in development, that it's a little on backburner. I mean I've been on his ass about the new "Recently Added Series" section, and the fact that I want it to cover at least 1 year or 100-150 series back, since we get 100-130 new series each year and a LOT of motherfuckers are like me, whom watch shit at the end of season/series.
As for Ana... IKR! Me and NW were both like THE FUCK??? when it was announced for anime adaption. It's an awesome as hell, adult-ish oriented story and I hope something like AT-X picks it up for a full series. It does look like the manga series is close to its end so cross your fingers for a full anime.

Stuff like Nozoki Ana can only get OVA adaptations IMO, and I think it might be better this way. I cannot imagine it being a TV anime adaptation for the same fact that even weirder stuff like Aki Sora did not get one and it received like 3 OVAs if I remember corectly, and it depicts a more or less sexual explicit theme. I think the chances are slim to see Nozoki Ana adapted into a TV series, though chances are high to see more OVAs of this series, IMO. TV series will surely come with a lot of censorship and with a lot of stuff that might not be included. Then again, I might not be that surprised if they make it into a full series... maybe this OVA was more like a test to see if the audience receives it well before beginning the production for a full series. If the sales go well then, why not? However, I remain skeptical, with or without AT-X, we speak about a series that is borderline H and it ain't something as ridiculous as Seikon no Qwaser, Queen's Blade or Manyuu Hikenchou where apart from some nudity, the sexual content part was pretty much absent.
According to mangaupdates, Nozoki Ana ended with the 13th volume which is the last volume that still needs to be translated.
I'm pretty sure this OVA was bundled with one of the special edition volumes of the manga, not on it's own, so it'd be hard to judge the popularity of the OVA itself...
On another note I generally have very low expectations for one off OVA's of long series because it's hard to stuff so much content into such a short period of time that usually, so much is lost that it loses it's focus and charm. This OVA went past that though... Very little was explained, characters came and disappeared randomly, and the focus was on sex scenes. I don't mind a lot of sexual content in an anime/manga, but this OVA felt like generic shitty plot hentai. It completely lost the charm of the manga... Instead of actually being an enjoyable series to watch this seemed more like animation of some peoples favourite sex scenes. If I had to rate it I'd probably give it somewhere around a 4 or 5/10.
I also kinda doubt this'll get a full anime, there are so many fairly graphic sex scenes in the manga that are integral to the plot. I could see it as hentai, but I think it goes too far to be aired on TV.
Also this OVA was pretty low budget, it was really light on animation and it was done by Studio Fantasia which is tiny. Going from that to a full series is a big jump.

I dunno, AT-X has always pushed the boundries and we're not talking about public broadcast TV, this is a cable channel that even advertises that they never add any censorship of their own to broadcasts and also airs Hentai anime on weekend late night (YES, that's studio censored), sooooo I wouldn't be all that quick to say it's not possible. Also, this is an INSANELY popular seinen manga series, so again I wouldn't cross it off getting a full series. Most certainly I doubt a TV broadcast, but maybe an AT-X or even a nice OVA series wouldn't be bad either. I think like is often done, they tested the waters with this OVA. I mean ordering the special ed Manga volume at a highly jacked up price, which coincidently got sold out quick, kinda says something, if you know what I mean.
