Advice needed

hello all
can someone recommend me an action anime with a good story ,and a bit romance in it, won't hurt ?

i liked: kaze no stigma,chrome shelled, trigun ,trinity blood, initial d, darker than black, macross, full metal alch , panic, one piece, bebop, escaflon, champloo, samurai deeper kyo, kenshin, ninja scroll, hungry heart wild striker, adachi's manga/animes, various sports animes.

to sum it up the only requirement for the anime is to have a good story and not to have : childish ,too weak characters, homo,echi stuff, girl + big sword (gun).

also feel free to recommend some old animes because i probably checked all the "newer" ones.

Kinda off the beaten path but cool is Pumpkin scissors , Iria the animation ,The Third(the girl with the blue eye) , slightly older but what i can think of right at the moment.

The one problem I'm having is understanding where you draw the line on ecchi and childish. I know a few but I'm not sure they would pass your requirements. Look up some of these.
Sword Art Online, Utawarerumono, Vandread, Toaru Majutsu no Index, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Soul Eater, Sacred Seven, Katanagatari, Guilty Crown, Accel World, Break Blade, Ao no Exorcist, Fairy Tail, and if you haven't seen this one yet, Macross: Frontier. You just mentioned you have seen Macross; just not which ones. Let me know if any of those pass so I can get a general idea of tolerance level.

P.s.: Noticed that you've posted "Sports" as one of your genres, have you watched Prince of Tennis and Capeta; Can't remember more and a bit "old".

Also these: Basquash! , Ben-To , Desert Punk , Get Backers , Grenadier , Ikkitousen , Noir , "History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi" or Kenichi.

Those are a few of my choices.

i watched PoT and capeta, liked both. i checked basquash but scifi sports ain't my thing i guess ill check your sig,ben-to and noir , i watched the rest.

huh i only watched kekaishi ill add em to my "to watch list " *** i like dramas also if the story is dynamic and good ;-)
